The leader of the Romanian opposition called on both chambers of Parliament to adopt during tomorrow joint session of the Parliament a declaration of support with the State of Israel and to condemn the terrorist attacks against the Jewish state.

„82 years ago, on October 9th, Romanian authorities started deporting Jewish people to Transnistria. It was the most brutal manifestation of extremism and xenophobia of that regime. Today we remember the victims of the deportations and we commemorate the victims of the Holocaust in Romania. We also call on the Romanian Parliament to express its solidarity with Israel by adopting an official statement in this respect”, Cătălin Drulă said.

USR stresses that Romania is a steadfast partner and ally of Israel and will always condemn violence and terrorism.
